Time to do some relative comparison.
The statues say something about how the subject wanted to be perceived and how the artist perceived the subject.
Ozai’s statue displays power and dominance. For Ozai Fire was a weapon to instill fear and destroy those that would oppose him.
Zuko’s statue displays a single outstretched hand holding a flame. For Zuko fire is a tool for illumination and a way to seek knowledge and understanding.
(( :’) ))

Avatar: The Last Airbender | Nations » Background Defaults
A quick pull of the hair/skin/eye tones used for the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Southern Water Tribe citizens. I tried to get my colors all from similar daylight lighting so they should generally all be comparable with each other. This is by no means a comprehensive view (especially in regards to the Earth Kingdom, which is so large that I mostly just pulled from Ba Sing Se characters) — seriously, I’m amazed and impressed by how different every background/minor character looks from each other (in their face features as well, which, obviously can’t be seen here, but)!
Added the Air Nomads here.
